AXAGON PCEM2-ND, 2x internal M.2 NVMe slot, PCIe controller, RAID

The PCI-Express controller AXAGON PCEM2-ND enables connection of two NVMe M.2 SSDs to a desktop computer and the creation of a RAID array. High-quality design, compact dimensions, and thoughtful construction make this adapter an ideal choice for upgrading a desktop computer without an M.2 slot or in case of insufficient M.2 slots.

The adapter is universal and compatible with any motherboard and will also work in motherboards without PCI-Express bifurcation support. This unique functionality is ensured by a high-quality chip from Asmedia. Thanks to PCI-Express 3.0 interface compatible with x8 and x16 slots, maximum disk transfer speeds of up to 4000 MB/s (4 GB/s) can be achieved.

The controller supports the use of NVMe (PCI-Express) M.2 SSDs, both single-sided and double-sided. The adapter has no SSD capacity limitations and supports M.2 drives up to a size of 22x110 mm. When shorter drives than 22110 are installed, the rear part of the card can be detached to fit into smaller spaces. A low-profile bracket is included for mounting the adapter in low-profile cases. The M.2 controller card also features an integrated PCI-Express slot lock for better securing in the PCIe slot, which can be easily removed if necessary.

The PCIe adapter supports SW RAID, which can be created using suitable software or built-in tools in the operating system. By setting up RAID 1, you achieve effective data protection through mirroring.

The chip is cooled by a powerful passive heatsink. For cooling M.2 drives, heatsinks up to 22 mm in width can be used, such as AXAGON M.2 heatsinks CLR-M2L3, CLR-M2L6, and CLR-M2L10. LED indicators signal connection or data transfer in the M.2 slot. Installation is fully automatic and easy for anyone to handle.
