The network video recorder (NVR) from the Lite series by Dahua manufacturer serves for recording up to 8 IP cameras in combination with various resolutions up to 12 Mpx with data storage on 1x SATA HDD up to 20 TB. The recorder features 1x 10/100 Mbps LAN, audio input/output, 2x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI (4K), 1x VGA, and a DC power connector. The maximum power consumption of the recorder without HDD is 10 W.

Software and applications

The device comes with free software SmartPSS Lite, which is used for managing IP devices such as NVRs and IP cameras. It allows for easy device discovery, live viewing of channel images, recording selected channels according to specified criteria, and playback of recordings. Additionally, the DSS Express application is available, which offers more features, is free for up to 10 connected clients, and is built on client-server architecture. The more advanced DSS Pro is licensed and offers many more analytical functions. For mobile access, the DMSS application is available for download from official app stores (Google Play/Apple App Store).
