The network video recorder (NVR) from the Lite series by Dahua is designed for recording up to 8 IP cameras in a combination of various resolutions up to 12 Mpx, storing data on 1x SATA HDD up to 20 TB per disk. The recorder features 1x 10/100 Mbps LAN, audio input/output, 2x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI (4K), 1x VGA, and a DC power connector. The maximum power consumption of the recorder without HDD is 10 W.

Software and Applications

The device comes with free software SmartPSS Lite, which is used for managing IP devices such as NVRs and IP cameras. It allows for easy device discovery, live monitoring of channel feeds, recording of selected channels according to specified criteria, and playback of recordings. Additionally, the DSS Express application is available, offering more features, is free for up to 10 connected clients, and is built on a client-server architecture. The more advanced DSS Pro is already licensed and offers many more analytical functions. For mobile access, the DMSS application is available for download from official app stores (Google Play/Apple App Store).
