The network video recorder (NVR) from the Lite series by Dahua is designed for recording up to 8 IP cameras with a combination of various resolutions up to 12 Mpx storing data on 2x SATA HDD up to 20 TB per disk. The recorder features 1x 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN, audio input/output, 4/2 alarm, 2x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI (4K), 1x VGA, and a DC power connector. The maximum power consumption of the recorder without HDD is 10 W.

Software and Applications

The device comes with free software SmartPSS Lite, which is used for managing IP devices, such as NVRs and IP cameras. It allows easy device discovery, viewing live video from channels, recording selected channels according to specified criteria, and playing back recordings. Additionally, the DSS Express application is available, offering more features, it is free for up to 10 connected clients and is based on a client-server architecture. The more advanced DSS Pro is licensed and provides many more analytical functions. For mobile access, the DMSS application is available for download from official app stores (Google Play/Apple App Store).
