The network video recorder (NVR) from the Lite series by Dahua is designed for recording up to 16 IP cameras in a combination of various resolutions up to 12 Mpx, with data stored on 2x SATA HDD up to 20 TB per disk. The recorder features 1x 10/100/1000 Mbps + 16x 10/100 Mbps LAN (16x 802.3af/at PoE), PoE budget of 130W, audio 1/1, alarm 4/2, 2x USB 2.0, serial port, 1x HDMI (4K), 1x VGA, and AC power connector. The maximum power consumption of the recorder without HDD is 10 W.

Software and Applications

The device comes with free software SmartPSS Lite, which is used for managing IP devices such as NVRs and IP cameras. It allows for easy device search, live image monitoring of channels, recording of selected channels based on specified criteria, and playback of recordings. Additionally, there is also the DSS Express application, which offers more features and is free for up to 10 connected clients and is built on a client-server architecture. The more advanced DSS Pro is already licensed and offers many more analytical functions. For mobile access, the DMSS app is available for download from official app stores (Google Play/Apple App Store).
