The network video recorder (NVR) from the Lite series by Dahua is designed for recording up to 32 IP cameras in a combination of different resolutions up to 12 Mpx with data storage on 2x SATA HDD up to 20 TB per disk. The recorder features 1x 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN, audio input/output, alarm 4/2, 2x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI (4K), 1x VGA, and a DC power connector. The maximum power consumption of the recorder without HDD is 10 W.

Software and Applications

Free software SmartPSS Lite is available for the device, used for managing IP devices such as NVRs and IP cameras. It allows for easy device finding, monitoring live feed from channels, recording selected channels based on specified criteria, and playback of recordings. Additionally, there is an application DSS Express, which offers more features, is free for up to 10 connected clients, and is built on a client-server architecture. The more advanced DSS Pro is licensed and offers many more analytic functions. For mobile access, the DMSS application is available, which can be downloaded from official app stores (Google Play/Apple App Store).
