The network video recorder (NVR) from the WizSense series by manufacturer Dahua is designed for recording up to 32 IP cameras in a combination of different resolutions up to 32 Mpx with data storage on 8x SATA HDD up to 20 TB with RAID 0/1/5/6/10. The recorder features 2x 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN, audio input/output, alarm 16/8, 2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, 2x HDMI (4K), 2x VGA, 1x RS-232, 2x RS-485, and a power 230V AC connector. The maximum power consumption of the recorder without HDD is 13 W.

Software and Applications

The device comes with free software SmartPSS Lite, which serves for managing IP devices like NVRs and IP cameras. It allows easy device discovery, monitoring live images of channels, recording selected channels according to specified criteria, and playback of recordings. Additionally, there is also the DSS Express application, which offers more features, is free for up to 10 connected clients, and is built on a client-server architecture. The more advanced DSS Pro is licensed and offers many more analytical functions. For mobile access, there is the DMSS application, which can be downloaded from the official app stores (Google Play/Apple App Store).
