The network video recorder (NVR) from the WizSense series by manufacturer Dahua is used for recording up to 8 IP cameras in a combination of various resolutions up to 16 Mpx, with data storage on 2x SATA HDD up to 16 TB per disk. The recorder has 1x 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN, audio input/output, alarm 4/2, 2x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI (4K), 1x VGA, and a DC power connector. The maximum power consumption of the recorder without HDD is 10 W.

Software and Applications

A free software SmartPSS Lite is available for the device, which is used for managing IP devices such as NVRs and IP cameras. It allows easy device search, live monitoring of channel images, recording of selected channels according to specified criteria, and playback of records. In addition, there is also an application DSS Express, which offers more features, is free for up to 10 connected clients, and is built on a client-server architecture. The more advanced DSS Pro is already licensed and offers many more analytical functions. For mobile access, there is an app DMSS, which can be downloaded from official app stores (Google Play/Apple App Store).
