Tinycontrol HC-SR501 PIR Motion detection sensor

The PIR sensor allows for efficient motion detection based on infrared radiation and easy integration into automation and security systems. Thanks to power supply 5–24 V, it is suitable for a wide range of projects and installations. It offers operating range of up to 7 meters and a wide detection angle of 360° × 100°, ensuring reliable coverage of the area. Two potentiometers allow for precise adjustment of sensitivity and delay, while very low consumption max. 50 µA supports long-term and economical operation.

There are 2 potentiometers on the board

• Tx - adjusts the sensitivity of the detector
• Sx - adjusts the delay - for how long the sensor will test the repetition of the signal before sending a High signal

Both values affect the resulting alarm signal. The sensor operates in what is called retriggering, i.e., in the case of motion detection, the active state (High) is continuously maintained at the output.

Wiring

Connect the sensor output VCC to the VCC PIN of the LAN controller. Connect the GND output to the GND input on the LAN controller and connect the DO output to a free digital input INP1-4D on the LAN controller.
