Ubiquiti UniFi Switch USW-Pro-24-POE Gen2

The second generation of UniFi switches brings a number of changes and improvements, the switches have been rebuilt from the ground up. Compared to the first generation, there has been a significant improvement in the air flow used for cooling, so in comparison it is up to 4x quieter* than the first generation.

* at an ambient temperature of 25° and the load of the POE source at 25%, the switch is 3.6x quieter

* at an ambient temperature of 25° and the load of the POE source at 50%, the switch is 4.2x quieter

* at an ambient temperature of 25° and the load of the POE source at 100%, the switch is 1.9x quieter

Equipment

USW-Pro-24-POE Gen2 has a total of 24 ports with POE-Out function. Ports 1-16 support 802.3af/at standards, ports 17-24 then 802.3bt (60W). The total POE budget is 400W (total power of the source 450W, 50W own consumption of the switch).

A pair of 10G SFP+ ports with 1G SFP backward compatibility will serve as Uplink. In the event of a power failure or failure of the internal source, the switch can be connected to the UniFi SmartPower backup system, which serves up to 6 supported devices.

Touch screen

On the touch screen you immediately see the most important information such as error statuses, warnings, port statistics, consumption of connected devices, network load and more.

L3 functions

The plan is to implement L3 switch functions in a future firmware version.
