wAP LoRa2 is a complete out-of-the-box solution for use as a gateway to a LoRaWAN network. The device includes a pre-installed R11e-LR2 module for forwarding UDP packets to any public or private LoRa server, 1 RJ45 Ethernet port as well as a 2.4GHz wireless card to build an access point. All this in the well-known wAP design for outdoor mounting on a wall or mast.

The device has a built-in antenna with a gain of 4.7 dBi for connection to the LoRa network. You can also connect an external antenna via SMA connector to achieve greater distance.

This gateway also works with the 2.4 GHz frequency for LoRa®, which means significantly higher bandwidth, higher data transfer rates and shorter transmission times. And thanks to the Chirp modulation technology it does not interfere with the 2.4 GHz WLAN signal! An ideal solution for industrial assemblies with a high density of sensors.

What is LoRa good for?

LoRa network (Long Range) is ideal for long-distance wireless communication with low energy consumption, making it suitable for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It uses low-frequency bands and allows devices to connect over distances of up to several kilometers, which is perfect for monitoring sensors, smart meters, or outdoor devices. LoRa is great for areas with limited access to power and for applications where long battery life and reliable communication are prioritized.
