PowerBeam is based on the former highly successful NanoBridge product line. Newly includes more powerful hardware and smarter design. The design has been simplified as much as possible and installation in the field is now faster and more convenient, for the sake of interest I would mention the radiator release button which was a problem with the older generation.
Inside the PowerBeam is a powerful MIPS processor Atheros 74KC with a frequency of 560MHz, which is supported by 64MB of DDR2 operating memory and 8MB Flash memory. The network port supports 10/100/1000 Ethernet and can be powered via the included passive 24V/0.5A Gigabit PoE. The theoretical maximum throughput of the unit is 300Mbit (MCS15, 802.11n, 2x2MIMO, channel width 40MHz).
InnerFeed™ technology integrates the radio part into the radiator from the antenna, eliminating potential loss on the RF cable.
The shape and size of the PowerBeam offers the highest possible antenna gain. In addition, thanks to the excellent directivity, the PoweBeam will work well even in a more noisy environment.
The biggest advantage of any airMAX device is, in addition to high transmission speed thanks to the 802.11n standard, the use of TDMA time multiplex. The TDMA airMAX protocol enables excellent scalability and high throughput while maintaining low latencies in PtMP networks.
