OlifeEnergy SmartMeter BASE

SmartMeter is a device that controls the performance of a charging station and can be used for Wallboxes, Doubleboxes, and AC pedestal charging stations in BASE and SMART versions.

SmartMeter measures the current consumption of the object or its partial circuit, and evaluates the available power for OlifeEnergy charging stations. Based on the available power, it then regulates the charging current. It ensures optimal use of the electrical connection's capacity and thus prevents overload or network failure. Measurement is done indirectly using measuring transformers with a working core. The measuring unit occupies 5 module sizes in the distribution board (unit + 1 circuit breaker), an additional 5 modules are occupied by the unit for communication with OlifeEnergyCloud, and is powered from the distribution board with phase voltage 1P + N 230V; in the case of power measurement, then 3P + N(PEN) 400 V / 50 Hz. Communication with the station occurs via a serial line using an RS485 bus with the MODBUS RTU protocol; the bus is galvanically isolated. An RJ45 connector is used for connection.

SmartMeter can be expanded with a wireless module (SmartMeter Wireless), which enables communication with Wallbox, Doublebox, and AC Pedestal charging stations.
